A handcrafted piece of Chinese New Year artwork created to mark 2026, the Year of the Horse (丙午). It makes a thoughtful celebration gift for friends or family to mark the Lunar New Year. Something meaningful to give at the start of the year, intended to be kept and revisited as the months unfold.

This design centres on a layered red moon, set into deep black card. Around the moon sit short phrases in Chinese and English that reflect key Horse year qualities: movement, freedom, decisiveness, and forward energy. The red moon references fire and vitality, while the restrained layout keeps the focus on form, texture, and meaning.

Each piece is laser cut, layered, and assembled by hand in our small Peckham studio using recycled card and plastic free materials.

A slim black stand is included, allowing the artwork to sit upright on a desk, mantelpiece, shelf, or windowsill, without the need for framing.
